Community Garden Committee
The Stoneybrook Village Community Garden is located on Birdsong Drive, south of the Clubhouse. The Garden provides a place for Village residents to cultivate vegetables. Also, the Garden is an ideal spot for residents to meet, as well as being an attractive Village amenity.
The Community Garden includes 17 small raised spaces available for residents use. In the January and February issues of SVOA Happenings, residents are invited to sign up for one of the planting spaces. In January, a signup sheet is posted on the SVOA Clubhouse bulletin board. In March, planting beds for a full year (March through the following February) are assigned, including winter weed control. Gardeners in good standing who have had spaces the previous season may continue with their assignment if their names appear on the signup sheet. Continuing gardeners who desire a change of planting bed must request a change by March 1 if there is an available space. Planting beds will be assigned to new gardeners as spaces become available. The Community Garden Committee may adjust the sizes of beds to accommodate the number of gardeners.
